Reality check

A demo shows what may be possible. These points help judge whether the product fits day-to-day use.

Works well when
  • Predictable delivery, cleaning or guidance routes
  • Sites with elevators, doors and handoff rules defined
  • Repetitive work where staff can handle exceptions
What to check
  • Navigation around guests, children and temporary obstacles
  • Charging, cleaning and refilling requirements
  • Actual handoff behavior when the route is blocked
Not a magic solution
  • A substitute for hospitality and human judgment
  • A guarantee of lower labor cost without workflow changes
  • A safe choice for an untested public environment

About

G1 combines a wheeled chassis, height-adjustable upper body and dual-arm manipulation for factory and research tasks. The specification section lists 20 degrees of freedom excluding the end effector; the narrative describes 26 including a six-DOF end effector. These are different scopes, not interchangeable counts. A Jetson AGX Orin 64 GB computing platform and RGB-D/fisheye cameras support perception, while VR or motion-capture teleoperation supports data collection.
