AboutG1 is a compact humanoid platform. Standard G1 has 23 joints, approximately 35 kg weight including the battery and an arm-load figure of about 2 kg. G1 EDU offers 23–43 joints and about 3 kg arm load, depending on configuration. EDU is the version listed for secondary development; optional hands and computing modules should not be assumed to be included in the standard robot. Arm load depends strongly on posture, and demonstrated functions are not a guarantee of unattended household work.Figure 02 is the second-generation commercial humanoid robot by Figure AI, designed for versatile tasks in industrial settings. It features advanced AI for autonomous navigation, object manipulation, and human collaboration. Currently deployed at BMW's factory, it handles material handling and assembly tasks, demonstrating its potential in manufacturing.

How to choose

Developers and research teams that need accessible development materials and a visible purchase path can evaluate Unitree G1 first. Manufacturers validating line tasks can ask Figure about pilot requirements. Their delivery models and target customers differ, so appearance and demo videos alone are poor comparison criteria.
