Reality check

A demo shows what may be possible. These points help judge whether the product fits day-to-day use.

Works well when
  • Stable, repetitive handling, tending, welding or assembly
  • Processes with known parts, fixtures and cycle times
  • Cells where an integrator can own commissioning
What to check
  • Payload after adding the gripper and cables
  • End effector, vision and safety-cell cost
  • Changeover time when the part or fixture changes
Not a magic solution
  • A solution for a process that changes every day
  • A turnkey cell without integration and safety work
  • A reason to skip measuring the current process

About

DOBOT MG400 is a four-axis desktop robot for loading/unloading, assembly, gluing and inspection. The official sheet lists 500 g payload separately from a maximum of 750 g, 440 mm working radius and ±0.05 mm repeatability. It weighs 8 kg and supports TCP/IP and Modbus TCP communication. Tooling and workpiece weight must be included in load assessment; the maximum load must not replace the normal payload specification.
