Reality check

A demo shows what may be possible. These points help judge whether the product fits day-to-day use.

Works well when
  • Stable, repetitive handling, tending, welding or assembly
  • Processes with known parts, fixtures and cycle times
  • Cells where an integrator can own commissioning
What to check
  • Payload after adding the gripper and cables
  • End effector, vision and safety-cell cost
  • Changeover time when the part or fixture changes
Not a magic solution
  • A solution for a process that changes every day
  • A turnkey cell without integration and safety work
  • A reason to skip measuring the current process

About

The HDC Series is a hybrid collaborative robot line from HD Hyundai Robotics that combines collaborative safety with industrial robot performance. It includes the HDC 50-17, HDC 35-18, and HDC 25-18 models, offering payloads up to 50 kg, a maximum speed of 5.9 m/s, and a working radius up to 1,880 mm. The series is positioned for heavy-duty tasks such as palletizing, machine tending, and handling, including large box handling and heavy workpiece transfer. It uses Radar-based sensing and the SafeSpace 2.0 control solution to recognize workers and surroundings and adjust operating speed.
