Reality check

A demo shows what may be possible. These points help judge whether the product fits day-to-day use.

Works well when
  • Stable, repetitive handling, tending, welding or assembly
  • Processes with known parts, fixtures and cycle times
  • Cells where an integrator can own commissioning
What to check
  • Payload after adding the gripper and cables
  • End effector, vision and safety-cell cost
  • Changeover time when the part or fixture changes
Not a magic solution
  • A solution for a process that changes every day
  • A turnkey cell without integration and safety work
  • A reason to skip measuring the current process

About

UR16e combines a 16 kg payload with a 900 mm reach for heavier workpieces in compact cells. Applications include machine tending and material handling. Its model-specific manual gives pose repeatability of ±0.05 mm per ISO 9283, rather than the ±0.03 mm figure associated with other UR models. End-of-arm tooling must be included in the payload calculation.
